Only 25 Days Until the Start of Something BIG.

How many of you plan your summer around a family reunion or vacation?

Getting everyone together on the same date, and making time to do so, can be challenging. However, it’s (usually!) a rewarding experience. Not only is it a way to stay connected, you often learn something by listening to the stories. For many of you, it may be one of the few times that you slow down enough to have uninterrupted time to focus on why you are there. And don’t forget about the fun – the importance of simply sharing a good time together sometimes escapes us.

From July 16th – 18th I will be attending a family reunion of sorts. It is the 21st year that we will be bringing together our hospital clients from across the United States for our annual conference. I’ve known many of them since my kids started Kindergarten, and this year my youngest graduated from college.

Since we’ll be in Dallas – and everything is bigger in Texas – the theme is Big Camaraderie, Bigger Ideas and Biggest Results. We’ll kick-off with an Advisory Board meeting to discuss the challenges hospitals are facing and brainstorm how we can respond by providing relevant solutions. All attendees will come together to network and kick up their heels at a welcome reception featuring line dancing and country music stars. We’ll network in smaller groups the next night for Dine Around Dallas.

Our general session features client stories that will walk through their situation, solution and success. Since our member hospitals receive the benefit of primary service area exclusivity, they are willing share plans, budgets, challenges and anything else that can help other hospitals. In addition, industry leaders will be providing perspective on hospital marketing’s top challenges and their solutions.

The meeting will conclude with awards to recognize the outstanding work we have done together to inspire healthier communities. We are offering a very limited invitation to a few key hospital marketing leaders to hear directly from our member hospitals.
